Description
The AD-RECON-SL is the lowest mount American Defense Manufacturing makes. It is a straight one-piece quick-detach mount for 34mm scope tubes with a 1.230 inch centerline. That low height puts the scope close to the bore on bolt guns and rifles where the rail sits only above the action. This version comes with ADM’s dual tactical levers, which are longer and easier to throw with gloves on than the standard levers.
ADM machines the base from 6061-T6 aluminum with a Type 3 hardcoat anodize. The two QD Auto Lock levers clamp to any Picatinny rail and self-adjust to rail spec differences, so the mount returns to zero when you take it off and put it back. ADM lists the mount at 8 ounces. The base ships with the 34mm rings installed. Lifetime warranty. Made in the USA.
Heads up: The SL height is meant for bolt actions and rifles with a low cheek weld. On an AR-15 with a standard stock, 1.23 inches is too low for most shooters. Also check that your scope’s objective clears the barrel or handguard at this height.
