Description
The Geissele SSP is a complete single-stage AR-15 trigger with an M4 curved bow. It was Geissele’s first single-stage for the AR platform. There is no take-up. You press, it breaks. Geissele rates the pull at 3 to 3.75 lb and calls the reset short but distinct, so it runs fast without feeling vague.
The trigger and hammer are S7 tool steel, cut by wire EDM and finished in a corrosion resistant black oxide. It drops into any mil-spec AR-15 or AR-10 lower with standard .154 in pins. RSR lists this item as a trigger bow, but it is the full fire control group, trigger, hammer, disconnector, and springs. Geissele pitches it for duty, hunting, and target work where a clean single-stage is preferred.
Heads up: Geissele notes the SSP is not compatible with SIG MPX/MCX or pistol caliber carbine AR variants.

Who it’s for
Shooters who want a single-stage break at around 3.5 lb with a traditional curved shoe, for 3-Gun, hunting rifles, or a precision-leaning carbine. Good choice if two-stage take-up is not your thing.
Who should skip it
If you want a two-stage at this weight, the SSA-E gives you the same curved bow with a wall to prep against. Pure speed shooters should look at the S3G. If you prefer a flat shoe, the SD-SSP (05-483) is the same trigger with a flat bow.
