Super Vel Hush Puppy Certified Select is a remanufactured subsonic 9mm load. Super Vel loads a 147 grain full metal jacket bullet on once-fired brass and lists it at 900 fps, well under the speed of sound. Super Vel puts the USPSA power factor at 132. This is the single 100-round box, the only boxed pack of this load, and the right size to find out how your pistol cycles it.
Super Vel builds Certified Select on the same machines and under the same quality control as its factory-new ammo, with once-fired brass that is inspected and reloaded. The point of the load is low recoil and a quiet report through a suppressor. Super Vel warns that because it is soft-shooting, it may not cycle some pistols with the factory recoil spring, and a reduced-power spring may be needed. You get one 100-round box.

Who should skip it
This is remanufactured ammo. Some ranges and some matches prohibit reman, so check the rules first. It is not for defensive use, and the velocity and power factor are Super Vel’s, not ours. A 147 grain bullet at 900 fps is around 132 power factor, so it makes USPSA Minor (125) but with only a few points to spare. Chrono it in your gun before a match, because a shorter barrel or a cold day could push it under. It may not cycle a stock unsuppressed pistol with a heavy recoil spring. If you want a Minor load with more power factor margin and no spring swap, the Certified Select 124gr FMJ at about 130 PF is the easier pick.
