Description
The Walker’s Disrupter is an in-ear electronic hearing protector with active noise cancellation on top of the usual gunshot compression. Four omnidirectional microphones give you 360 degree ambient sound, and Forward Focus mode narrows that pickup to what is in front of you so range commands come through over the shooter next to you. Walker’s rates the noise reduction at NRR 24 dB.
The buds stream audio and take calls over Bluetooth and pair with the Walker’s Link 4.0 app, where you pick from five ambient sound settings and check battery. Walker’s lists 11 hours of runtime in ambient mode and 6 hours while streaming. They charge in a USB-C dock. The box includes two styles of silicone tips and three sizes of foam tips so you can get a seal, which is where the protection comes from.
Heads up: The NRR only holds if the foam tip seals. Take the time to fit them. For indoor ranges or rifle-heavy days, double up with muffs.

Who it’s for
USPSA and 3-Gun shooters who work the squad all day, want to hear the RO and their squadmates, and would rather run buds under a hat or a rifle stock than muffs.
Who should skip it
If you do not need active noise cancellation or Forward Focus, the Walker’s Suppressor BT we also carry does the compression and Bluetooth job for less money with a higher 25 dB NRR. If you shoot indoors a lot, muffs with a higher NRR are the safer buy.
