Description
The GrovTec 1/2×28 Crush Washer secures a muzzle device on a threaded .223 or 5.56 barrel. It installs between the barrel shoulder and the muzzle device, then compresses as the device is torqued to hold it in position.
The washer is steel with a black finish (confirm oxide vs. nitride per the note above) and uses the standard 1/2×28 thread pitch found on most .223/5.56 AR-15 barrels. As a crush washer, it sets the device's timing through compression, which means it is best treated as a single-use part. Replacing the muzzle device later usually calls for a fresh washer.
