Description
The Magpul Quick Detach Sling Swivel (MAG540) is a basic push-button quick-detach swivel for one-and-a-quarter-inch webbing. It connects a sling to any standard QD attachment point: the push button releases the swivel from the QD cup and locks it back in on reinsertion.
The body is steel with a manganese-phosphate finish that Magpul lists for corrosion resistance and long-term durability. It is compatible with any quick-detach sling mount attachment point, which Magpul describes as a way to add QD function to a wide range of slings. Magpul states it can pair with the MS1 sling for a dedicated two-point sling or with the MS1 MS4 adapter for a convertible two-to-one-point setup.
This is the standard QD swivel. It does not include the rotating rollover-resistant bale or dual side-release tabs of the upgraded Magpul QDM (MAG543). This listing is for a single swivel; a rifle with front and rear QD sockets needs two. Made in the USA.
