Description
The Geissele Super Precision is a one-piece AR-15 scope mount machined from a single block of 7075-T6 aluminum. This is the 30mm ring, standard length version in black. The whole point of the design is return to zero. The base spans seven Picatinny slots, four shear lugs drop into the rail slots to take recoil, and two nut-and-bolt clamps each put about 1,400 lb of clamping force on the rail, per Geissele. No levers, nothing to loosen on its own.
Standard length puts the rings about 0.63 in forward of the mount base, which suits most 1-6x and 1-8x LPVOs on a flat top upper. The rings are 0.75 in wide with 2.8 in between them. Ring caps are interchangeable between towers, so you do not need to keep track of which cap came off which ring. Finish is Type 3 hardcoat anodize. It also comes in Desert Dirt Color, and Geissele makes Extended and Hyper Extended lengths if you need more forward offset.
Heads up: Check your scope’s tube length between the turret housing and the objective bell against the 2.8 in inner ring spacing before you buy. Short-bodied LPVOs sometimes need the Extended version to clear.

Who should skip it
If your scope has a 34mm tube, you want the 34mm Standard (05-417B). If you run a stock with a long length of pull or a short LPVO and need more eye relief, get the 30mm Extended (05-381B). If you swap optics between rifles, a quick-detach mount like the American Defense Recon is the better tool, since the Super Precision needs a wrench.
