Description

The HIPERFIRE Hipertouch Competition is a single-stage AR trigger with almost no take-up, a crisp break, and a straight bow with the HIPERSHOE finger pad. You set the pull to 2.5 or 3.5 lb by choosing which of the two included hammer springs to install. It runs HIPERFIRE’s Cam-Over Toggle Engine, which stores spring energy so the hammer still hits hard at the light setting. HIPERFIRE says the dual coil springs raise hammer strike about 35 percent over a mil-spec trigger.

It is a component fire control group, not a drop-in cassette. The hammer, trigger, and disconnector install on your lower’s standard 0.154 in pins. The HIPERSHOE pad slides along the straight bow and locks in five positions, so you can shift your finger lower for a lighter felt pull or higher for more feedback. HIPERFIRE lists it for mil-spec AR-15 lowers and AR .308 rifles that use AR-15 fire control parts, and notes it will not fit some off-pattern .308 lowers or old large-pin Colts. In the box: hammer, trigger, disconnector, two hammer springs, HIPERSHOE, and hardware.

Who it’s for

3-Gun and multigun shooters who want the Hipertouch feel, a straight bow, and an adjustable finger pad, without paying for the Eclipse’s nickel boron coating.

Who should skip it

If you want the slickest feel and best corrosion resistance HIPERFIRE makes, the Hipertouch Eclipse is the same trigger with NiB-coated contact surfaces for a little more money. If you prefer a curved bow and do not need the finger pad, the Hipertouch Elite is the cheaper way into the line.
