Description
The Safariland 774 is a rigid, open-top pouch for one AR-15 magazine. It is thermoformed from SafariLaminate, so it holds its shape with the mag out and the mag drops straight in on a reload. A tension screw sets how hard it grips, and the body is ambidextrous with an adjustable carry angle.
The 215 fit code covers Colt-pattern AR-15 and M16 magazines including Magpul PMAGs. Safariland lists the pouch as MOLLE compatible and available with an ELS 34 fork, and the body uses their standard two-hole pattern, so it drops onto the ELS kit and 032 belt we carry. Safariland’s belt attachment for the 774 covers 1.5 to 2.25 inch belts. Finish is black STX tactical.
Heads up: retailer listings for this part number differ on whether a belt loop ships in the box. Plan on mounting it with an ELS fork or your own hardware, and confirm before you order if you need a belt loop out of the box.

If you run a plate carrier, the HSGI TACO pouches we carry are lighter and mount to PALS without extra hardware. Shooters who need a pouch that also takes 7.62 or AK magazines should skip the 774, which is cut for the AR-15 body only.
