Description
The Geissele SD-SSP is a complete single-stage AR-15 trigger with a flat bow. It is the flat shoe version of the SSP, Geissele’s first single-stage design. There is no take-up. You press, it breaks. Geissele rates the pull at 3 to 3.75 lb and describes the reset as short but still distinct, so you can run it fast without losing track of where it resets.
The trigger and hammer are S7 tool steel, cut by wire EDM and finished in black oxide. It drops into any mil-spec AR-15 or AR-10 lower with standard .154 in pins. RSR lists this item as a trigger bow, but it is the full fire control group, trigger, hammer, disconnector, and springs. The flat bow lets you index low on the shoe for more leverage.
Heads up: Geissele notes the SSP line is not compatible with SIG MPX/MCX or pistol caliber carbine AR variants.

Shooters who prefer a single-stage break over a two-stage and want a clean 3.5 lb pull for 3-Gun, hunting, or a precision-leaning carbine. If you learned on a single-stage and two-stage take-up bugs you, this is the Geissele for you.
Who should skip it
Two-stage fans should stick with the SD-E, which has a similar total weight but gives you a wall to prep against. For all-out speed on close stages, the SD-3G has a shorter pull and reset. If you want the same single-stage on a curved shoe, the SSP M4 Curved Bow (05-400) is the sibling.
