Description
The HIPERFIRE Enhanced Duty Trigger 2-Stage, or EDT2S, is a two-stage AR fire control group built to a duty weight at a budget price. HIPERFIRE specs two user-selectable pulls: with the blue spring you get a 3.5 lb first stage plus 1 lb to break, 4.5 lb total. With the green spring it is a 4.5 lb first stage plus 1 lb, 5.5 lb total. The first stage is smooth and the break is clean, but this is a duty trigger, not a light match trigger.
It is a component set that installs on your lower’s standard 0.154 in pins, the same as a mil-spec fire control group. HIPERFIRE pairs it with heavy-duty hammer springs for hard primer strikes, which matters if you shoot steel-cased or hard-primer ammo. It comes with a curved bow. HIPERFIRE lists it for AR-15 and AR-10 platforms. In the box: hammer, trigger, disconnector, blue and green hammer springs, and hardware.

Who it’s for
A first trigger upgrade on a new competitor’s rifle, a Tactical Games gun that also does duty or home defense work, or any AR where you want a smooth two-stage at a duty weight and a hard hammer strike for cheap ammo.
Who should skip it
If the rifle is a dedicated 3-Gun gun, 4.5 lb is heavier than you want. The HIPERFIRE X2S MOD-3 is a lighter two-stage with a flat bow at 3.5 lb, and the Hipertouch Eclipse is the single-stage match option at 2.5 or 3.5 lb.
